Divided by tram lines

Force.
The policing presence was minimal, but prepared.

But at opposite ends of the square there were counter protests.
Divided by only tram lines that run through this city but the gulf was much wider than that.
The size of the respective groups were different: minority versus majority.
Noise, passion and anger were in equal parts.

It is broken.
There is no fix in sight.

There is much more respect and fear for the police in your country, even the neighborhood police, which we don't have here. But the municipal police would not even be considered for events like this, even for bit protesters, riot squads with helmets, shields, and batons are needed
