Tony Wilson was a famous TV presenter and that is around the time that I remember him.
His influence and impact on Manchester music and culture extended further than that and he became known as Mr Manchester.
Beyond his lifetime, his influence is remembered by buildings and public squares being named after him.

I've heard of Tony Wilson, he was also involved in music and helped launch the Sex Pistols.

It's a fitting tribute to name a street or building after someone who has done so much for a city or a country.
