Changing face of Cardiff II

Posted by Ted (South Wales, United Kingdom) on 24 May 2009 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

The invasion of the yellow jackets.
A new retail development has turned large parts of the City into a building site. It is progress and will be a major improvement and provide great contrast to the Victorian arcades.
Change has shown itself in other ways...Cardiff is now a city (for the time being) of bright fluorescent jackets where the many construction workers seem to wander the city aimlessly or fill the many cafes at break times (who's keeping track of time?) This prompts many jokes and criticisms of how many workers does it take to hold the shovel etc...

This is the famous Hayes Snack bar doing a roaring trade to the yellow jackets at mid morning.
