When I visited Alcatraz is was early one morning with a raging hangover and whilst on the ferry I had to contend with two gentlemen sticking their tongues down each others throats. It wasn't the greatest start to ones day but Alcatraz was great to visit. I like your photo, the clouds are superb.

@Mike: Thanks Mike...We'd been once before so gave it a miss this time but the ferry was a different way of seeing the island itself. It is a must see place albeit a tourist trap. You obviously encountered San Francisco's diverse culture!

this is a great take on this setting! the drama built up by the clouds and light seems to enhance the structure itself, given its history and purpose in the past! excellent work!

An amazing bit of processing really brings out the drama in this scene.Brilliant shot.

I really feel sorry for the poor sick guy two comments up,maybe if he takes his medicine regularly he´ll get better and realize that he´s mixing up man.utd and LIVERPOOL !!!!!

Re question, I guess you didn't. Over the Golden Gate bridge, turn right and go to the bay. There is a swampy area with houses built on stilts, connected by board-walks. Hence the song 'Under the Board-walk' I suspect
