All roads lead to ...Millenium Stadium, Cardiff

Todd Blackadder, former NZ captain once said to me you have built a great cathedral but the team on the field has been overlooked.
That is no longer the case.
The Millennium Stadium and spiritual home to Welsh rugby is the home of the European Champions!!!!
On this day, Madonna had also taken up residence!

I like this one a lot Ted. The cloud formation is great, strangely leading the eye to the stadium. The railings in the foreground also work very well adding interest to the shot. I wouldn't mind taking a look at the original photo to see how the HDR as impacted things.

@Mirko Herzner: Thanks Mirko...as mentioned to Madscientist...I understand what you mean. The more unusual feature of this stadium is that it is in the heart of the city centre and not the typical outskirts. the close proximity to bars and restaurants adds to a great atmosphere that is second to none.

Phew..so much to comment on here. First of all...great photo Ted, the angle in particular is great.
Now on to more serious matters...they demolished Cardiff Arms Park!? You know Todd Blackadder?!

@Margie: ...Thanks. The Millennium replaced the old Arms park..which is still there but the 'Blues' are due to relocate & ground share with Cardiff City in their soon to be ready stadium. I'm not sure where Cardiff RFC are going as I'm sure the Arms park is going to be re-developed. The Millennium has to be the best stadium in the world particularly when the roof is on and for any sport (bar for Old Trafford)
Apologies for the name dropping...spent a day with him thanks to a mutual Kiwi friend & while we were all guests of the Henry's. The good company outlived my memory of a pretty dire defeat to Scotland.

Ted I guess you mean the food festival. I shall be avoiding it. I used to go and take my son on the sausage trail which was great fun and then hang out sampling the Hobson's beer, but it has become a victim of its own success. Too many people for my taste. You spend more time in queues than anything else. Great for the town though.
